Technical Writer II

The person in this role will conduct technical and editorial reviews of training and learning content.  They will complete an assessment of the current documentation, identifying any gaps or known issues. Put themselves in a first user of our projects API's, services, and documentation and also putting themselves in the developer's shoes and understanding what the developer needs to achieve.

By the end of the engagement, they will have delivered a refreshed, complete, and clear set of documentation for our project.

Required skills
-Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, or Learning Technology, Instructional Design or a relevant field
-Minimum 5 years of experience creating self-paced eLearning and web-based training development for a developer audience.
-Obsessive about technical accuracy and strong attention to detail

Preferred skills
-Demonstrated ability to conceptualize technical/functional content into something creative that developers enjoy consuming
-Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality
-Experience architecting, writing, and editing technical documentation for software developers
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Passion to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment.
-A proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results.
-Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
-Experience with web technologies, including Java, Ruby, Python, and/or C#.
-Experience writing in a structured authoring environment
-Proficiency in Photoshop or other graphic design package
