Technical Writer

As a technical writer for this top tech company, you'll contribute by writing and editing technical documentation. You will be working with Engineers and Program Managers through deployment guides and reference material. You'll work with other Tech Writers, Engineers, and Program Managers to determine best organizational practices. You'll work independently to create document plans, write deployment guides for Engineers, then make changes to the online documentation, and also spend time resolving issues with existing documentation to keep it up to date. You will create and maintain documentation to provide information and direction related to process systems, tools, and products related to the deployment and operations in various US geographies. You might have a background as a Hardware Engineer, or you're a seasoned communicator with web building skills, and understanding of Network Technologies.

Responsibilities
- Meet with Product Managers and Engineers to determine scope and create documentation plans on the Deployment Guides
- Write documentation guides for Hardware developers that cover: reference material; task oriented documentation
- Will collaborate with product and content experts to ensure reference material is up to date
- Build frameworks for documentation that speak to networking systems
- Write documentation for deployment guides
- Create information architectures for sets of documents
- Produce task-oriented documentation and reference material whose audience will be Hardware Developers

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience
- BA/BS degree or equivalent Practical Experience
- Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, etc) or equivalent work experience
- Ability to speak to Hardware Engineers and Program Managers - Hardware background (manufacturing, assembly, electronics, automotive, etc)
- Experience with online publishing for documentation
- Experience working in command-line environment for navigating and managing files
- Experience with writing documentation for Hardware Developers - Ability to work well with subject matter experts including Engineers, System Operators and Technicians
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Experience in clear usable documentation of networking protocols.
