Technical Writer

This is a position in two parts:
• Project Management
• Process Document Development
Project Manager
• Facilitating Content Review meetings, gathering feedback and track action items
• Drive review of segment owners, gather feedback
• Collate feedback and distribute for comment or review
• Incorporate comments into final draft
Technical Writer
• Process Document Development
• Ability to develop rich graphic content from basic written material.
Responsibilities
• Interact with internal teams as well as contractors and vendors to produce multiple types of professional writing, documentation to include but not limited to requirements and procedures, to ensure that data center designs and addendum’s are identified and updated, that quality services are delivered, and that internal customer demands are met.
• Drive the completion, socialization, approval, and/or edit of organizational process docs
• Work with management to organize existing documentation, identify deficiencies and prioritize solutions.
• Obtain information by interviewing and collaborating with Engineering, Construction and Operations teams.
• Produce documents that can be understood by both technical teams and prepared for external publication. Be the designated contact for suggestions and updates to these documents.
Preferred qualifications
• Experience planning, researching, writing, and editing documents that need to be produced, as well as defining the overall structure of the documentation set.
• Project Management Experience
• Experience driving the document review and approval process
• Ability to write documents that capture engineering requirements, standard operating procedures, and processes.
• Ability to understand technology, demonstrated either by having an engineering degree, by having been employed as an engineer for 3 years, or by having successfully written about engineering and technology for 5 years.
• Passionate attention to detail, willingness to work with both internal and external teams to produce the technical content for white papers, procedures and other documentation.
• Excellent skills which must include PowerPoint, Visio, and Word

• Document assimilation and continuity across disciplines providing a common voice.
• Ability to develop rich graphic content from basic written material.
• Excellent technical writing credentials and note taking/listening skills
• Team collaboration skills is essential in this fast paced environment.
• Adapting to frequent changes and course corrections
• Experience in change management
• Project Management skills that pertain to Scope, Schedule, Budget and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage the comment judication process with the program stakeholders review process.
Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Work schedule for this position: M-F 8-5
