Technical Writer

Our studio needs a strong, versatile technical writer who is passionate about technology, games, and entertainment to work on documenting studio policies.

Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be documenting studio policies and practices which will support studio operations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, employee-focused technical content—utilizing OneNote as your primary documentation repository. In this role you will create a common look and feel for all documentation regarding studio processes and best practices across multiple topics.

The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate the following qualifications/qualities:
• Strong customer focus skills.
• The ability to think in creative, critical, and innovative ways about content formats, to think strategically about documentation problems, and to take the initiative to present new ideas.
• The communication and collaboration skills needed to work closely with developers, program managers, software testers, developer support engineers.
• Comfortable with taking corporate policies and making them applicable in a game studio environment.
• A working knowledge of the Company Manual of Style for Technical Publications is a plus.
• Experience: 3-4 years’ experience in technical documentation.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new applications, tools, technologies, and processes quickly and independently

Qualifications:
• A B.A./B.S degree in a related field is preferred.
• We require writing samples that demonstrate clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
