Our team handles a set of APIs, SDKs and services available to developers to make their applications more intelligent, engaging and discoverable. Our team expands on our evolving portfolio of machine learning APIs and enables developers to easily add intelligent features – such as emotion and video detection; facial, speech and vision recognition; and speech and language understanding – into their applications. Our vision is for more personal computing experiences and enhanced productivity aided by systems that increasingly can see, hear, speak, understand and even begin to reason.

Job Description 
We’re looking for multiple technical writers to support developer documentation efforts. If you are interested in improving and challenging content, and working with new technology, this is a great role for you!

 

This includes: 

  • Conduct Documentation Gap Analysis according to content standards/guidelines. This includes performing a content audit/review to determine a content inventory, identifying gaps in content, and defining follow up tasks to improve content.
  • Fix general documentation issues (i.e. identifying and fixing broken links). 
  • Work on standardization of content across services. 
     

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills 
  • 3+ years’ experience creating technical documentation, preferably content for developers 
  • Must be able to participate in planning and design, and contribute to a project from end to end with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a dynamic, changing environment 
  • Proactive communicator, consultative, and ability to drive partner communications and engagement.

  • The ability to work under deadline pressure is required. 
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, Computer Science or related field preferred. Work related experience may substitute for degree.
