Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication. Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation. Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users. Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards. As a technical writer at Samsung, your role involves tasks such as writing conceptual overviews, procedures, whitepapers, SDK developer guides, reading and writing example code samples, and writing blogs and FAQs. Responsibilities include:

Research, plan, and document how to implement Samsung KNOX product features within Samsung partner’s mobile device apps for a variety of audiences, such as software developers, IT admins, MDM and Service Vendor partners, and KNOX Sales Engineers
Work collaboratively with other Tech Pubs team members to identify and create a wide array of documentation for Samsung KNOX
Identify and resolve issues relating to documentation project schedules, structure, design, and deliverables
Skills:
Qualifications:

Minimum of ten years of experience in a software technology environment writing documentation for app developers, SMEs, Sales Engineers, and IT personnel
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and advocate the craft with internal stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to write documentation that is clear, concise, consistent, and accurate
Demonstrated ability to read and explain Java code examples
Expert ability to aggressively seek out, distill, and learn technical information from Samsung’s worldwide development teams, explain it to other team members, and then document it in the appropriate delivery target (developer guide, whitepaper, tutorial, blog, etc.)
Stay current with of trends and new tools and technologies in the Android and mobile device security ecosystem
Ability to visualize and illustrate complex concepts
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and maintain high content quality in a fast-paced, constantly changing dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications:

Able to understand and explain a range of mobile device management security and Android platform technologies
Ability to understand and create Java use-case code examples developers can use to implement new product features into their MDM solution
Expertise with desktop publishing software (e.g., MadCap Flare, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and graphics packages)
Experience with video script creation for explaining product features
Experience with content management tools (e.g., Sharepoint, Perforce)
Experience with developer tools (e.g., Android Studio, Jira)
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field
