Our client is looking for a Technical Web Specialist for a Long Term contract role with potential to go permanent at a later time.
Role: Technical Web Specialist

Technical Duties:
Develop, implement and maintain our clients micro-sites, affiliate web sites, email blasts, blogs and social media sites. Assign user access levels within the CMS and install periodic server-side maintenance updates. Coordinate with various other departments to facilitate projects and with IT to ensure server stability.

This person will develop, implement and maintain various micro-sites and affiliate web sites, email blasts, blogs and social media sites. This person will be working primarily in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3 and jQuery, updating existing sites and implementing new designs. This person must be capable of producing standards-based, semantic markup and coding for the responsive web. This role will interface with Marketing, External Relations, and other departmental web editors as well as add/update/format content on the various websites as assigned by the creative director.

Degree in computer science, web marketing or related field with experience in web systems technologies.

May substitute additional related experience, above and beyond what is required, on an equivalent year for year basis in lieu of the education requirement.

Experience: 1 year

Experience Preferred: - Three years of experience implementing and maintaining large websites.
- Experience developing for social media sites Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) preferred (iFrame).
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications on multiple platforms.
- Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and best practices.

Other Skills Required:
- Knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, jQuery and related technologies.
- Knowledge of accessibility, WCAG2.0 and Section 508 guidelines and ability to apply best practices to coded prototypes.
- Knowledge of user-centric web design principles and best practices.
- Excellent organization, time and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.

Other Skills Preferred:
- Familiarity with an enterprise-level, Open Source CMS (Ektron
(preferred) Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, etc.)
- Working Knowledge of MailChimp, Constant Contact or other web-based email marketing programs. Ability to develop Responsive HTML templates within the system.
- Working knowledge of PHP, .NET, and other web programming languages a bonus.
- Knowledge of Responsive Web technology/workflow/frameworks (Twitter Bootstrap 3 w/ LESS, Foundation 4 w/ SaSS, other responsive grid frameworks)
- Ability to translate UI mockups into functional pages.
- Experience with Google Analytics and AdWords, as it relates to SEO.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
