Technical Project Manager

Top Entertainment & Hospitality client is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a year long temporary assignment with full benefits. Has potential to extend if it is a good fit!

This person will be responsible for managing the information technology department in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Ensures proper functioning of company's information processing system and makes upgrades as necessary. Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs. Follows appropriate programming procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

Qualifications: 
- 5+ years experience in software project management 
- Previous experience in embedded software implementation and development 
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, and MS Project (or similar) 

Preferred Qualifications Requirements: 
- College degree in Computer Science or similar 
- This position is on-site at our Glendale campus 

Responsibilities Technical Project Manager Responsibilities: 
- Manage and facilitate embedded software development schedule, budget, stakeholder updates, monitoring/identifying milestones, and release schedule 
- Monitor and report progress of schedule and budget at the initiative, release, and sprint level to business and technology leadership 
- Recommend software development process improvements 
- Schedule and help with facilitating meetings with leadership and stakeholders 
- Measure and forecast development team capacity and velocity 
- Manage development dependencies with other teams 
- Identify team action items and lead them through to completion

- Manage development dependencies with other teams 
- Risk analysis and mitigation
