Vitamin T's client is an online entertainment company located in Venice.

They have a deadline to complete some of their animated online content projects by Feb 12.

Our client is looking for a talented, motivated and self-sufficient Technical Production Associate that can take their final productions to the finish line from bundling, packaging and detailed QA, to outputting immaculate renders, to final delivery to their Product team. The ideal candidate cares about the integrity of final design aesthetics, performance and overall user experience, and is highly technical when it comes to video encoding, rendering and troubleshooting technical issues with final deliverables. The right candidate is primarily a problem solver capable of working self-sufficiently with meticulous attention to detail while balancing dozens of tasks simultaneously.



TECHNICAL PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
Rate: $25/hr
Duration: Freelance - Start as soon as Fri 1/31 or Mon 2/2 until February 12, possibly longer, possibly OT
Location: Venice, On-site


RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Prepare files for production and post-production pipelines using the Adobe Suite, particularly After Effects, Flash, Premiere, and Photoshop
*Must have experience with After Effects & Flash
*Troubleshoot and resolve any software issues during production
Manage all necessary file conversions (web, broadcast, downloads, mobile, press, festival, etc.)
*Repackage legacy content for changing technology, including adjusting animation, compositing, and masking
*Maintain and update template files for artists
*Reorganize files for delivery to apps and websites
*Stage content on the JibJab site and YouTube
*Solid understanding of video compression and codecs
*Ability to hit tight deadlines while juggling many tasks
*Extreme attention to detail and ability to QA own work
*Comfortable in a fast paced, high pressure environment
*Highly Self-sufficient
*need someone who understands these issues, and who is familiar with H.264,
FLV, SWF, MP4, MOV and native After Effects and Premiere files as well
as associated metadata formats
*extensive knowledge of post-production processes for short-form video – someone who knows video encoding codecs well, knows how to encode, output to multiple file formats and has
"been through the ringer" with all of the little idiosyncrasies that these processes can have.

CLIENT MUST HAVES:
*Absolutely needs to be an expert in Flash and After Effects.
*knowledge of how to package story timelines into a the web medium would be a big plus.
*needs a problem solver BUT someone who can take direction and deliver a project on time within a set of pre-existing rules.
*The ideal candidate cares about the integrity of final design aesthetics, performance and overall user experience, and is highly technical when it comes to video encoding, rendering and troubleshooting technical issues with final deliverables.
*The right candidate is primarily a problem solver capable of working self-sufficiently with meticulous attention to detail while balancing dozens of tasks simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE
*Minimum 2 years experience in technical production;
*Motion and video processing required;
*Proven ability to juggle a large number of projects in fast paced environment;
*Web experience is a must;
*Familiarity with audio concepts and software;
*Familiarity with compositing concepts and software;
*Knowledge of current trends in web / mobile is a plus;
*Start-up experience is a plus.
*Highly Self-sufficient
