Technical Producer/Project Manager

The Technical Producer/Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and development of multiple products and services for a significant hospitality client. The candidate will manage the production and execution of multiple technical projects, ranging from Microsites to Websites to other digital experiences. The candidate should also understand technology and management paradigms and best practices.

This will entail some high-level technical understanding of system architecture, technology platforms and development practices. From a project management standpoint, communication and initiative is key. Ideally, the candidate understands the different SDLC philosophies (Agile, Waterfall, RUP, etc.) and has had some experience in defining and implementing any of the permutations of methodologies that stem from them.

The candidate will manage cross-functional teams ranging from Designers to Developers to other Producers in the technical execution of large-scale projects. Understanding the different processes that live within each discipline will be vital to the projects’ success. Working with other stakeholders, the Technical Producer/Project Manager will participate in discussions around architecture, strategy, planning and estimation. Additionally, the role can grow manage multiple clients as well as some account and relationship management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the build and release of technical projects
- Oversee resources to ensure tasks and deliverables are met on time
- Manage stakeholders’ expectations on project statuses
- Work with and manage other non technical Producers on projects
- Help define process and workflow for all phases of development and quality assurance
- Help guide strategy for future iterations of projects
- Help create a proper deployment methodology to ensure bug free releases
- Manage different versions of sites and/or projects

- Analytical thinker, but can come up with creative and “out-of-the-box” solutions
- Driven and focused on providing the right service to produce the best products and solutions
- Identifies problems early and helps steer teams toward the right solutions

Additional:
- Experience in the hospitality or travel industry a plus
- Some development experience a plus
- Can be a conceptual and strategic thinker
- Some local/regional travel may be required

This is a temp-to-perm/Temp-To-Perm position.
