Technical Operation Manager

Our client is an internal advertising team for a global technology/media company.

Role Purpose
We are looking for a highly-motivated Technical Operation Manager who wants to be an active contributor to a world-class service organization.

The Multinational Sales Team for our client is responsible for selling and deploying advertising campaigns for its Advertising’s strategic clients across up to 64 markets in three international regions (EMEA, APAC and the Americas).

The core responsibilities of the role are to test and traffic online assets across multimarket digital campaigns, and we require a candidate with deep technical knowledge and industry experience as well as strong client facing skills.

In addition to managing the technical operations components of all advertising campaigns across the client’s portfolio of digital solutions (online, mobile, gaming, etc.), you will leverage your project management skills by leading critical business initiatives and projects.

You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to bring technical awareness, solve client problems; improve processes, input into platform development and influence advertiser satisfaction.

You will also be responsible for evangelizing our new products to creative agencies and AdOps teams within media agencies. Finally, you will be joining an industry-leading team focused on achieving amazing results and working together to drive value for its clients, through technical input at the pitch stage.

Team/Department Mission
To work in partnership with leading international advertisers and agencies to develop and deliver engaging multinational digital solutions – use the client’s assets, properties and expertise to connect with consumers and address business challenges across multiple markets.

Key Accountabilities
• Accountable for the flawless launch of highly complex advertising campaigns on the client’s digital properties; generally running across 5 to 20 markets.
• Interface directly with strategic clients to plan, receive, test, and implement creative assets.
• Project manage strategic initiatives either individually or by leading a virtual team to deliver high impact business results.
• Drive resolution of escalated client technical issues.
• Ensure quality by enforcing standard policies and procedures.
• Review and provide feedback on new processes, product, and tool releases that will improve operational efficiencies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential Experience
• 4+ years working in a service organization required
• 3+ years project management experience required
• Online advertising experience

Technical /Functional Skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and HTML required
• Working knowledge of online advertising technologies including:
o Flash
o JavaScript
o Streaming Video
o Rich Media
• Experience with a variety of online ad products – Media Mind, Atlas, DoubleClick, Admotion, etc
• Functional knowledge of Ad Serving technology.

Qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required
• European language skills a distinct advantage

Bonus: Knowledge/background in software industry products/services/applications. Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues. The ideal candidate will have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others. Must have excellent communication skills to all levels, experience working with external vendors, strong project management skills, strong leadership skills, and demonstrated experience managing programs with varying degree of complexity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, great comms particularly under pressure as well as have the ability to push back on stakeholders. You will come from a rich media vendor – candidates from an ad agency background will be accepted as long as they have a clear technical background. It is a hands on role so candidates must be prepared for this.

The role is paying up to 42K and will run to the end of June although it is very likely to roll on from there. It is based in London
