Technical Editor

We seek two technical editors to:
1. Develop, research and write content for cloud service and on-premises products that support current in-product functionality, future service updates and future on-premises product updates.
2. Perform content editing services across the organization to ensure content meets compliance and conformance with guidelines. These guidelines include: legal and branding, corporate style, voice, terminology, accessibility, geopolitical, and editorial requirements, as well preproduction and publishing requirements. Vendor will make content updates or recommendations based on guidelines.
3. Revise and update art (screenshots, conceptual art, posters) in existing content to adhere to new branding guidelines.
4. Create edit, and update content and art on intranet to a standard of excellence as defined by the following methodology:
• Ensure that all assigned documents conform to editorial and technical standards and guidelines that have been defined for content.
• Work with subject matter experts, such as product developers, to ensure that all assigned documents are technically accurate.
• Respond to questions from customers, support engineers, and testers about assigned documents.
• Respond to questions from writers, managers, and partners about editorial standards and guidelines.
• Use standard tools and product to ensure content is technically accurate.

Technical Editor Requirements-
• 3-5 years of work-related experience required.
• Must have excellent writing, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to combine technical expertise with technical communication skills is required.
• The ability to work under deadline pressure is required.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities preferred.
• Must be able to accomplish objectives that span multiple product or subject areas, and possess proactive and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to participate in planning and design, and contribute to a project from end to end with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English or related field preferred.
• Work related experience may substitute for degree.
