The editor will need to work with the partner a full time employee to handle content that comes in outside. It is not always possible to do a complete edit, so some flexibility in applying level of edits is required. Special projects still come up, and the editor should be flexible in terms of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Most editors will focus on editing content, not on bugs. An editor might develop a style sheet for a document being edited. We have a standards guide, which outlines most conventions used across the documentation set.

Responsible for editing technical documents for organization, content, technical accuracy, and style. The responsibilities also include editing multiple pieces at various levels of development, creating an internal style guide and word lists for group use, following corporate legal guidelines to create accurate copyright pages and checks the Copy Editor's legal edits, determining schedule and work flow for the team, developing and executing internal and external review processes of documentation, ensuring that the overall documentation set is comprehensive and meets the requirements of users and internal stakeholders. Performs edits of new and revised documents as well as many editing fixes logged in Product Studio bugs. Works on special projects that ensure consistency across the documentation set.
5 plus years of work related experience is required. Demonstrated ability to oversee projects is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required. Must have the ability to deal with ambiguity and work closely with a wide range of personalities in different roles documentation managers, writers, production teams, and others on issues affecting the quality of documentation. Previous experience in editing developer or programming documentation is required. Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, English Literature, Journalism or related field is preferred
