Responsible for editing for organization, content, technical accuracy, and style. Responsibilities also include assessing the level of edit a piece of documentation requires at every stage of the process, editing multiple pieces at various levels of development, creating an internal style guide and word lists for group use, following corporate legal guidelines to create accurate copyright pages and checking the Copy Editor's legal edits, determining schedule and work flow for the team, developing and executes internal and external review processes of documentation as needed and reviewing corporate style guide for accuracy.

1-2 years of copy editing experience, developmental, and substantive editing experience in an online, Web or print environment required. Demonstrated knowledge of grammar, spelling and style is required. Must be familiar with current word processing software and be able to learn new tools quickly. A solid working understanding of the technology being documented or its equivalent is required. Must have the ability to organize complex documentation. The ability to work on several complex editing tasks simultaneously is required. Must have the ability to collaborate closely with one or more writers. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to meet deadlines. Excellent communications skills required, along with the ability to follow complex instructions. Must have the ability to adhere to a style guide and legal guidelines preferred. Must be able to provide current samples of work. Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, English Literature, Journalism or related field preferred.
