Technical Corporate Event Producer

Our Fortune 500 Wealth Management and Investment Service client is looking for a highly accomplished Technical Corporate Event Producer to join their Marketing Team. This is a contract/freelance opportunity for a 12 month engagement (which could extend beyond), 40 hours a week, hours over 40 qualify for time and a half compensation, on-site in NYC, with national travel.

As a Technical Corporate Event Producer reporting to the Global Head of Event Production - you will be responsible for delivering all the technical and production elements for Conferences, Keynote Speeches, and VIP Receptions. Based in the Multimedia Department, you will be responsible for the design, planning, budgeting and execution of events through the entire project lifecycle. You will also work closely with the Business Units and Marketing Department to ensure all goals are delivered to the most exacting standard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• As an Technical Corporate Event Producer, you will work directly with staff Event Planners to develop an overall production approach for each event, e.g. 20-30 events, conferences, receptions, per year with one specific roadshow.
• You will look after the very specific technical areas such as Staging, Audio Visual, IT and Lighting, Sound, etc.
• Produce accurate and detailed vendor briefing documents and use appropriate vendors for each project following Standard Operating Procedure to produce accurate budgets, well in advance of the event.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors to produce visuals, production schedules, and all required documentation.
• Work closely with internal Multimedia Department groups (Video Production, Streaming, Engineering and Operations) and procure external services using approved sourcing methods.
• Lead and supervise vendors throughout the entire project delivery phase ensuring work meets expectation and is on schedule.
• Work directly with senior executives and clients to develop content and provide a vital interface when using specialist technology.
• Keep client, planners, and management informed of any issues, delays and solutions to the production changes that occur at live events and provide reporting for department initiatives.

Skills Required:
• Previous job history should be from either an audio visual or technical production company and MUST have Corporate Events with a track record of delivering live events to a very high standard.
• Experience presenting concepts and technical proposals to non-technical clients. For example, Audio Visual Technology is used at live events, so as Event Producer, you must be confident discussing technical matters as an expert.
• Strong logistical and resource planning with an excellent attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of the latest technology and production techniques
• Strong interpersonal, management and customer relations skills
• Resourceful and able to work in a pressurized environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Excellent time management skills and able to work on own initiative and accept accountability.
• Must have excellent IT Skills and problem solving ability. The candidate needs to understand how to specify a temporary onsite network, and understand the common difficulties associated with offsite event technology.
• Ideally the candidate will have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Visio.
• Must be prepared to travel extensively and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. National & Local Travel (10 days a month/120 days per year)
