Technical Broadcast Producer

Our Entertainment Programming team is looking for a technical broadcast coordinator. Our program will broadcast 50 live events, such as E3 media briefing, iHeart Radio Festival and the Spike VGA awards each year on the tuner platforms, streaming HD video and in many cases including a live interactive layer.
The technical broadcast coordinator, will work directly between the key technical. This scope may also include working with and coordinating with partners and other vendors in the same basic areas. This role will require working hours that correspond to live broadcasts, and as such will require flexibility to work on evenings and weekends as the events dictate, however it is unlikely that this will be more than two days in any one week.

Key Resposnsibilities
• Manage event playbook creation and distribution
• Manage Event Sharepoint, intake, etc.
• Day of show control room management (booking, equipment needs)
• Pre/post show video coordination (VOD, preview video)
• Produce show post-mortem decks (with input and signoff by senior and exec producer)
• Run interactive layer of live events
o Manage and produce pre-loaded questions and answers (editing, etc)
o Run question tool during the event
o Manage question XML file for archiving after event

Qualifications
• At least 5 years experience in either live broadcasting (TV or Radio), post production or other media production role.
• A good operational understanding of digital media distribution, including streaming and encoding technologies
• Ability to manage to a deadline with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Great communication skills and ability to work in a highly matrixed environment
• Ability to function comfortably in the high stress, high pressure environment of a live production control room.
