Technical Audience Editor & Copywriter

My client is a Global Tech Company who are looking for an individual to join our fast-paced and energetic team to take ownership of the editorial voice and content plans for the technical audience – this includes both IT implementers and developers. Both audiences are key to the success of the Company as decision makers and/or influencers of choosing to bet on the our platform right the way through to practically developing or deploying the technology solution. This role will consist of 3 keys areas:

1) Editorial Planning: work with the Commercial Marketing Managers and Business Groups to understand the technical audience strategy and develop from that an impactful editorial plan, identifying the needs of creating, curating and collaborating on content
2) Copywriting: developing and writing content that resonates with the audience with a view to building trust & credibility, providing the right level of technical skills & training information, real world scenarios – all with a view to driving increase in adoption of our products
3) Managing Guest Contributors: working with a wide range of individuals form both within and outside of the Company to align with the editorial plan and deliver on required business outcomes

We are looking for an individual who has direct experience with this audience. This is a must, as from our experience, it is a necessity to enable this role to be able to connect with these unique roles.
The impact you will be making:
• Be the editorial voice for the technical audience
• Manage the overall technical audience editorial plan. Work with the Commercial Marketing Managers and Business Groups to leverage data & insight, and understand business priorities to then translate this to an impactful, audience-centric editorial and content plan
• Write insightful and impactful copy for communications across all digital channels
• Manage a broad group of contributors and guest writers both within the Company (technical roles, services etc..) and outside (MVPS, Partners etc.) to contribute to the editorial plan. Including the ability to ensure content suggestions align to theme and vet technical accuracy
• Build the right content-based customer journeys from awareness through to advocacy for the technical audience
• Within consumption, build content-based strategies that increase the usage of technologies with this audience
• Partner with the Commercial Marketing Managers and Insights teams to build and execute Demand Centre plans for respective commercial priorities and Enterprise/SMB audiences
• Production and project management of rich content and integration with the automation platform
• Work across UK and head office to identify the best existing content for journeys, and spot gaps or opportunities to produce more content that fills a distinct need - and then manage that content's production
• Manage the production of imagery and templates for email communications and input into email and marketing automation tools
