Tech. Writer II - Tech Customer Service

Our Client's Customer Service Technology is seeking an innovative, self-motivated Technical Writer to create and maintain documentation of our products for their customers and end users. This team is comprised of multiple software development teams that create tools, services and applications used to engage with Amazon customers world-wide. We have tens of thousands of customer service agents around the world who are using our applications 24x7 in multiple languages. This is an opportunity to build an entire documentation set from scratch.

Responsibilities include:
· Work with users and developers to craft a comprehensive set of user manuals that explain how our software can be used to solve real business needs.
· Create a system to deliver documentation in various formats (Word, PDF, HTML, etc), with content relevant to the consumer, and in the consumer’s language.
· Develop tools and processes to keep documentation up-to-date in a rapidly changing environment.

Basic Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in English, Writing, Technical Writing, or a related field.
· 5+ years in a technical writer or lead writer role.
· Proven experience designing and delivering user-facing and technical documentation from scratch.
· Experience with different documentation and content management tools.
· Experience working with a programming language (preferably C++, Java, or Perl).
· Understanding of the software development life-cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
· Masters degree in Technical Communication or a related field.
· Experience with customer engagement via social media, blogs, etc.
· Experience creating documentation videos.
· Past experience as a software developer.
