Tech Program Manager - UX/Web/eCommerce

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to join a eCommerce/UX/Web team for a Fortune500 company in Vancouver BC, Canada.

Together with other TPMs, developers, testers, and various disciplines, you will be responsible for delivering SQL, Service, and Web-Based solutions that have a direct, material impact on the overall success for the world’s largest travel company!

This is a 6 month contract, with opportunity to extend to 1.5 years.

Responsibilities:
• Work with business owners to understand objectives & key initiatives and transform these into product road maps, business and functional requirements, as well as technical specifications
• Work with user experience designers to coordinate & incorporate visual design, prototyping, wire frames, task-flow modelling, and information architecture into the specifications
• Take ownership in driving product and new feature development through every stage of the software development life cycle
• Work closely with development and test (on/offshore) teams to design technical solutions and provide detailed specifications that satisfy scalability, reliability, and performance goals
• Effectively manage trade-offs between cost/schedule versus customer benefit
• Work cross functionally to drive the implementation of new products and features as well as resolve operational issues

Requirements:
• Self-starter, accustomed to working in a changing environment who enjoys and takes pride in technical solution delivery
• A high degree of creativity and innovation with a proven track record in working on complex and ambiguous programs
• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience building and managing business requirements and turning them into detailed technical design specifications
• Experience with Service Orientated Architectures
• Familiarity with eCommerce web platforms a plus
• Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team environment
• Proven track record in handling multiple, complex projects/releases and keeping track of details of each project in parallel
• Ability to ramp up quickly on any type of new technology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to varying audiences

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience working in software delivery as a product/program manager
• BS or MS, in Computer Science or a related engineering field
