Talent Researcher

As a part of the Marketing Team, you will think big, think broad and build cutting edge solutions that enable our recruiting colleagues to hire the top talent more efficiently.
We are looking for a Talent Researcher who will contribute significantly to the success of research deliverables (i.e. candidate identification, competitive profiles, labor market trends) through his/her participation in the research and analysis of the designated talent channels that impact the successful selection and timely placement of pivotal positions.

Armed with strong analytic skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for research, this role focuses on data-driven research initiatives that either
1) support the more qualitative sourcing activities being completed by talent sourcers/staffing consultants, or
2) stand alone as dedicated deep dive information specialists.

Over time, our Talent Researcher may work on a variety of different projects, including: the design and development of research tools, surveys, and benchmarking initiatives; the collection, organization, and analysis of data; the automation of procedures, processes, and reporting; and collaboration with other colleagues on a broad range of business initiatives

As a Talent Researcher you will need to demonstrate a strong command of the following:
• Evaluating and implementing competitive intelligence (CI) techniques, strategies and programs across a global staffing landscape
• Identification and validation of top talent from target spaces (competitors, associations, industry, etc.)
• Implementing, testing and refining innovative new approaches to CI and talent sourcing
• Capturing and sharing appropriate data; implementing rigorous data integrity measures
• Working with a cross functional team of account managers and research staff to construct and execute findings/deliverables to ensure our staffing community extract maximum value from participation in our research program
• Identifying any gaps in the talent supply
• Cultivating relationships with specific talent pools, defined according to long-term initiatives and direction of the organization
• Evaluating and sharing the results of your own productivity and effectiveness through use of defined metrics
• Maximizing utilization of market research techniques and/or automating big data analysis
• Sharing ideas and strategies cross-group to include presenting to an audience of peers

Some of the shared characteristics of our successful Talent Researchers include:
• A background in executive search or market research, library science, anthropology/history or military intelligence but not excluding a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, statistics, or mathematics, and a strong quantitative aptitude
• Experience conducting primary and secondary research
• Excellent oral communication skills and strong writing skills
• Ability to locate and procure valid data from original sources usually by telephone
• High proficiency in distilling massive amounts of data into important relevance
• Strong project management, organization and time management/prioritization skills
• Ability to work either independently or in a team environment, depending on the task at hand
• Exceptional performance in undergraduate academics or graduate studies
• Superior poise and judgment (demonstrated “grace under pressure”)
• All activities must be performed in accordance with Legal and Ethical Guidelines
