Talent Coordinator - PR & Communications | 9 month contract

As a Talent Coordinator with Firebrand, you would be based in the heart of Sydney CBD, responsible for supporting a very busy PR recruitment desk,  helping our experienced Talent Agent to find and place the best talent in our space. Talent are hard to find, so our success hinges on us building extensive talent communities through relentless networking, digital mastery and many a meeting over a coffee! You will play an integral role in firstly identifying and screening awesome PR talent.

This is an initial 9 month maternity contract, with a view to extend  for a further 3 months.

The Firebrand PR team specialize in 360° permanent recruitment, juggling account management, talent attraction, management and assessment, and business development. This high-flying team now needs someone to help them coordinate a number of daily tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Sourcing talent - building talent pools via LinkedIn
  • Assisting in taking job briefs and writing job ads
  • Attending client meetings along with our experienced agent, taking detailed notes
  • Loading job roles and tracking applications on our bespoke CRM, Seek, Mumbrella and other relevant job boards
  • Uploading talent on our systems, ensuring talent profiles are completely full
  • Reference taking
  • Coordinating interviews and loading on system
  • Sending interview confirmations to both talent and clients
  • Assisting on any PR related events

This a an unique opportunity to gain an insight into the world of recruitment, as well as build an extensive network of contacts across the PR industry in Sydney.


2-3 years of PR agency experience is a must, as you will be speaking to talent that comes specifically within the PR space. You will be confident in speaking to and liaising with clients as well as candidates, have good people skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Someone highly organised and detail-oriented with a love of systems and process would be a perfect fit for the role. No prior recruitment experience is required, you will be trained by our experienced Talent Agent. Full Australian working rights are essential.
