Studio Producer

Our client in downtown New York city is looking for a Studio Producer to be a key member of their in-house creative Studio video team supporting the strategic marketing program by producing videos that are tied to the business issues important to our clients. The producer reports to the Studio Manager and is responsible for running key operational areas across studio operations. This position is on site.

With a minimum of 5 years of professional producing experience, the successful candidate will demonstrate: a strong understanding of professional video production, including pre-production, production, and post-production environments, workflows, equipment and technologies, as well as internal client and coordination dynamics, team member roles, and individual responsibilities. Desired skills include:

Basic working knowledge and technical proficiency in studio operations, cameras, lighting, and editing software including Adobe Creative Cloud.

The capability to make independent decisions on the execution of video production activities, consulting or escalating issues when appropriate.

A readiness to collaborate to develop video solutions that directly support the project marketing strategy and can demonstrate how the activities contribute to developing client relationships, paving the way for new sales in the pipeline and increasing brand equity.

An understanding of the best practices of studio operations and how to implement them to help the organization to be as efficient as possible.

Scope of Responsibility
Responsible for coordination of multiple video programs simultaneously. Independently makes decisions to adjust project logistics as necessary to meet deadlines, and takes action to consult or escalate major issues as required.
Demonstrates a deep understanding in video pre-production and production and a growing knowledge of video post-production, including an understanding of Adobe CC, specifically Premiere and Photoshop. Experience in live webcast/broadcast is preferred.
Responsible for management of production budgets and tracking of internal Studio chargebacks.
Responsible for identifying internal client needs - assist with creative development alongside Studio Manager and other internal Creatives including story development, graphics, lighting, and suggesting innovative ways to present the content using the Studio technology.
Assistant editing responsibilities include importing video clips and creating a timeline using Adobe editing products Premiere Pro/After Effects (Adobe CC).

Responsible for pre-production and logistics for shoots within the studio, including leading client meetings, creating call sheets/production schedules/show rundowns, hiring appropriate crew/equipment/sets under request of Studio Manager; and managing multiple clients, creative materials and scripts.

Responsible for wrangling scripts and details for each shoot and organizing them for day-of production, while acting as an assistant director to Studio Manager to keep productions on schedule and logging important production details during shoot to help expedite post-production.

Post-production responsibilities include final coordination of the project, i.e., tracking and processing any external invoices or external talent payroll from the production, obtaining photo releases, and monitoring budget performance. Tracks viewership metrics and other data as requested by the Studio Manager, Client, or Leadership.

Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) or equivalent experience required
