Studio Administrator

A global baby brand is searching for a Studio Administrator to enhance operations in the design studio. The candidate must possess an aptitude for graphic design, and a passion for organization. Additionally, the candidate must have the experience/ability to read, understand, and work with client data to fulfill his/her role. Most importantly, the studio manager serves as champion of design quality and consistency acting as consultant to the cross functional teams. Supports Creative Director in the execution of all new product development and collaborations.

Job Description:
• Proofread all product assortments in layout – crosscheck accuracy with approved content, tracking any changes made during design process, checking accuracy of additional input during design process.
• Assist with logistics and casting for all photo shoots.
• Maintain Support System, a comprehensive status database of all creative requests and communicate status to clients as needed. Troubleshoot the system as needed.
• Traffic all creative requests through Support System from receipt, through release, Assures all required approvals are received prior to artwork release.
• Collaborate with the IT department for all technical details and ensure that the studio is equipped with necessary hardware and software to facilitate workflow.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio; management of supply inventory, organization and maintenance of physical space, asset collection, sourcing, off-site errands, in-house photo shoot support, etc.
• Enforce production guidelines and procedures

Skills:
• Strong organizational skills; ability to maintain and upgrade existing studio process
• Excellent communication skills; able to present ideas confidently and comfortably
• Ability to prioritize and execute to multiple deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced knowledge of principles of design, including: layout, typography, color, balance and composition
• Knowledge of creating 'print ready' files
• Ability to work in a wide range of formats
• Able to work in a team or individually
• Willingness to jump in on any creative task
• Creative workflow database management experience is a plus

Experience:
• 1-3 years experience
• Experience working in a design studio
• Managing timelines, addressing project challenges, etc.
• Proofing and editing design files with expert attention to detail

Qualifications:
• BA in Graphic Design
• Must be proficient in Mac based design programs
• Excellent creative suite Microsoft Office skills

Duties:
• Communicate and collaborate with creative team through all phases of design and create concepts based on knowledge and scope of projects
• Designs promotional marketing materials in InDesign to complement the fabric prints
• Responsible for internal trafficking and tracking of all projects
• Capacity to be flexible with an proven ability to re-prioritize assignments daily (as needed)
