Strategy, Merchandising & Product Line Manager

To lead the product creation team in building the optimal product line for brands that will deliver the commercial plan and build brand equity.
Key responsibilities in:
• Translate commercial Revenue targets to product revenue targets
• Responsible for key gates and stages of I2P process
• Identify key competitive product references to benchmark A2 products
• Manage Design Team to execute brand relevant and commercially viable product range while maintaining the Brand’s DNA
• Define the merchandise range plan in-line with the brand architecture and consumer definition for all regions
• Support and approve the Product Line Manager’s lineplan and product briefs
• Support the development of seasonal product launch materials.
• To support and maintain a product and innovation pipeline and product roadmap
• To lead product presentations at sales meetings and support sales team at key account meetings
• To deliver all tools and activities consistent with the best practices of the Sports Apparel & Gear Category
• Setting objectives and corresponding KPIs in alignment with the Brand and Action Sports business goals

Essential duties
• Work closely with the Brand Manager and Commercial Managers to ensure a profitable product range for the brands
• Lead the Product Creation process from conception to final product
• Ability to manage timelines and key milestone meetings

Profile, main competencies & skills required
• Culturally fluent in Action Sports and Fashion for Girls and Women
• Business School or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years International Product Management and/or Merchandising experience in a leading consumer company
• Visionary Action Sports and Fashion insight
• Experience working and leading projects in a multi-cultural environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface across all functions/teams
• Exceptional oral/written communication and presentation skills
• Deep personal interest and understanding of Action Sports and industry
• Avid Action Sports practitioner
• Product interest and understanding
• Demonstrated leadership capability
• Excellent oral and written English skills
• Demonstrated proactive ability to solve problems
• Ability to travel
• Ability to drive commercial plans
• Fashion experience
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• A self-starter and be able to think outside of the box
• Experience managing designers and PLMs
• Experience with RVCA, Volcom, Urban Outfitters, Free People, Roxy is a huge plus
