Strategic Social Media Manager

Our client is a highly reputable, and established market leader and their brilliant products and services are amongst the most innovative drivers in changing the way businesses operate. They are in a digital focused growth phase, pushing the boundaries and driving innovation is core to their strategy.

This role has an entrepreneurial focus, in that its day-to-day responsibilities require a person who can act independently to spot opportunities both internally, and externally, to share and amplify things that will either raise awareness of, or change perception of, the brand. You will be responsible for generating and creating engaging and shareable materials for a variety of media, either independently or with the external agency.

 To own the dialogue in the social space and build the brand leadership and behaviour
 Implementation and operational management of the overall Social Media Strategy, and direction of the SM Team. Responsible for delivering upon the metrics assigned to each channel within the social media domain.
 Control, design, source, write, develop, edit and publish content that engages and enrols external stakeholders in key social media channels.
 Design, implement and run an engagement strategy (within social media) to stimulate conversation with new and existing clients, non-clients, and external influencers and stakeholders (engage in online conversations). Manage brand reputation and customer satisfaction in the social media space.

Key Objectives / Outcomes:
 Develop strong relationships to facilitate the creation of engaging and shareable social content.
 Work with external agency to produce content that gets noticed and more importantly talked about and/or shared through social channels.
 Developing relationships with key influencers in social media
 Support the Online Manager, Group Marketing Manager and PR Manager in managing stakeholder expectations internally
 Provide direction and support to the Community Forum Team.
 Provide insight into trends, issues, opportunities and threats in the space
 Use the knowledge and experience gained from the marketing teams to participate in and influence ongoing campaign activity.
 Establishing and developing processes to improve efficiency and the quality of dialogue
 To proactively start conversations around the category and key events
 Daily and weekly reporting to relevant stakeholders, including tracking to core performance metrics
 Build relationships with key stakeholders within the client’s business
 Be able to react quickly to short turn around promotions and campaigns (in regards to publishing related content)
 Help develop the digital/social strategy and align it to tactical plans

To be Successful:
 Must have built strong social followings for brands
 Preferably an active user of social media with a good sized following – in essence an influencer
 Experience in developing social and content plans
 Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams
 Experience getting content written/designed/produced
 Proven experience in influencing others without direct reporting lines
