Strategic Creative Writer. Must have creative writing samples that demonstrate a strong storytelling style and must be a strategic thinker as well.

The senior level writer will enhance the capabilities within our client's Global Communications & Marketing team to rapidly develop, write, and leverage strategic communications materials promoting the firm’s global narrative on Diversity & Inclusiveness. The candidate will work closely with the Global Leader in creating various marketing messages around Diversity & Inclusiveness. This person will not only create, but also help strategically develop high-level content. The role requires the successful candidate to develop trust and confidence with firm's senior leadership in order to provide strategically sound recommendations regarding the firm’s global narrative on Diversity & Inclusiveness.

* Candidate MUST have a business background and would be a huge plus if had some experience writing or knowledge about Diversity & Inclusiveness *

DESCRIPTION:

The communication vehicles take many forms, internal and external, including:

•thought leadership collateral (from 4-6 page statement or positioning papers to magazine length publications)

•externally placed articles in appropriate business publications

•strategic messaging for global narrative and what Diversity & Inclusiveness means to the company

The examples listed above may appear in various formats – including print (press releases), online (including web sites, blogs and channels), or pod and video casts.

Your writing samples MUST demonstrate a creative, modern, and hip sophistication to them.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of a multi-disciplined Marketing & Communications team, the position will help develop a strategic global narrative around Diversity & Inclusiveness and execute accordingly.

•Writing and editing diverse communications, formats described above.

•Working with the firm’s subject matter experts to develop high-content editorial that reflects the strategy of company marketing position overall.

•Working closely with Marketing & Communications Leader to build story and talking points for the creation of marketing collateral, thought leadership articles, and other editorial as needed.

•Managing the content through the firm’s internal approval process.

•Understanding the priority business needs and strategies of the company practices in order to recommend sound strategy and messaging. Help recommend the best communications vehicle for the message (print, web, survey, etc).

•Working with company Marketing & Communications team to develop appropriate messaging about Diversity & Inclusiveness to promote to an external audience.


QUALIFICATIONS:

* Candidate MUST have a business background and experience writing about Diversity & Inclusiveness *

•Bachelor’s Degree
•7-plus years of relevant experience in a communications and strategic role; a professional services or B-to-B environment preferred
•Excellent writing and editing skills – and a proven record of meeting deadlines
•Strong project management skills
•Ability to develop relationships across a very diverse internal client base
•Management experience a plus

LOCATION:
•New York, NY or Remote in New York, NY area

HOURS:
•10-20 hours per week
