Aquent’s client is seeking a Strategic Communications candidate for a long-term contract
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple long-term and short-term projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills and experience that demonstrates sound judgment and good instincts
• Solid organizational & collegial skills: Comfort in learning how org works and in working with a range of colleagues and teams
• Ease in working independently
• Solid PowerPoint skills
• Nice to have: Background in media development and production (video, Flash)
• Nice to have: Experience with graphic design and production (in tools such as Photoshop)
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Define and carry out content and metrics research across relevant teams and POCs
• Develop messaging approaches that target specific audience(s) and make best use of media format (text/HTML, PowerPoint, flash, wiki/blog, banner ad, other)
• Employ creative abilities to translate complex, technology concepts into compelling stories and/or effective learning materials
• Work diligently with SMEs, vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams to identify and develop promotional opportunities
• Manage activities and interactions for promoting and integrating website content (marketing, training sessions, partners, roadshows, other)
Content Research and Development
• Manage all content for accuracy, updates, revision history/control and distribution
• Research content with teams for all internal and external deliverables, including awards and analyst engagements
• Develop PowerPoint slides for internal readouts (All Hands, Operations and Business Reviews, Executive Review, and so on)
• Research and draft content for internal and external vehicles (newsletters, blogs, announcements, banner ads and news entries, other)
• Lead application and submission cycles for industry awards (TSIA, ASP); identify and follow up on new award opportunities
• Assist on and project manage media productions (HTML tours, flash animation tours, video)
Project Management
• Manage and organize communication team content across media
• Archive and be familiar with communication team content across deliverables and topics covered
• Manage communication calendar; manage and document internal/external projects
• Work with metrics team to stay ahead of top performance indicators, release metrics, and to anticipate metrics needs
• Work with product/project managers, release manager and development teams to stay current with upcoming website enhancements and major launches
Strategic Support
• Learn company services and partner organizations
• Research and make new cross-functional contacts for website presence or elsewhere
• Engage with internal company contacts to promote website presence across media and channels through partners, AR/PR representatives and other avenues (newsletters, web-based user tools, events, industry journals/reports, and so on)
• Research and make new contacts with customer and partner account team
Other/Potential Tasks
• Logistical, staffing and content coordination for industry conferences/summits
• Organization of content, structure, scheduling and follow-up management of customer/partner training sessions
• No travel is required.
• Working remotely is acceptable (although initial orientation may need to be onsite)
• As-needed availability to work “in the office” is required (for Telepresence meetings or other such engagements
