Statistical Marketing Analyst

Assist with the delivery of marketing analytics projects optimizing across customer competitor and demand. Provide data driven decision support to the leadership as well as local marketing teams. Subject areas for analysis and recommendations for business action will include Return On Investment (ROI) for individual marketing channels, maximizing ROI across channels, optimizing marketing spend, and other areas, as assigned. Be an expert in marketing and customer data, analyze the full impact of marketing activities for multiple marketing channels across assigned web site/brand points of sale, and help internal customers in understanding trade-offs associated with the analytical solutions. Proactively engage with customers to assess existing and upcoming business needs and maintain regular communication to update customer on progress made on projects. Make intelligent trade-offs between resources available and provide innovative solutions to customers even in situations where all the desired data may or may not be available. Has overall responsibility for many significant marketing reports and analytical projects and acts independently to ensure these meet marketing teams’ needs. Collaborate with other functional teams, e.g., Finance and Site Analytics to understand the impact of analysis across multiple groups and business. Share expertise and best practices with analytical functions across business to develop sound strategies to deliver on future projects.

You will be responsible for the creation and execution of algorithms and models to optimize marketing spending, pricing, targeting, and customer behavior. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Bidding Operations • Coordinate infrastructure and data inputs for bidding with external and internal teams across the company • Manage bidding operations for one or more meta partners • Conduct ad-hoc business analysis for bidding and auction/competitor intelligence Data Analytics • Develop analytical insights through assumption testing and sensitivity analysis and perform complex data analysis and financial modeling to support business case development • Prepare data in support of analytics, and assist with delivery of comprehensive analytics projects on marketing optimization and iteration of algorithm • Apply advanced analytic techniques such as machine learning, data mining and statistical modeling to design and implement mathematical models and algorithms to solve real-world marketing problems Basic Qualifications: • An undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent experience • Ability to conceptualize business problems and solving them through data analysis. Comfortable with pulling and manipulating data using SQL • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to communicate across business areas • Ability to prioritize and delivery on multiple threads of work in a fast-paced environment • Strong personal work ethic, including personal initiative and ownership • Familiarity with one or more machine learning or statistics tools such as R, Stata, Python and various libraries for other programming languages Preferred Qualifications: • Data sleuth - SQL experience strongly preferred (e.g., data source identification, feasibility of joins, determines data reasonableness based on business insight) • Experience in online marketing, e-commerce, or equivalent role with an analytical bend • Knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as Clustering / Cluster Analysis, Factor Analysis, Regression Models, Logistic Regression, Predictive Modeling, optimization models, etc. • Graduate level degree in a highly quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics
