Sr.Copywriter/Content Strategist

As a Senior Copywriter/Content Strategist, you’ll need a good understanding of digital and how people consume content. You’ll be responsible for generating ideas and managing content plans across multiple channels, both online and offline. Most importantly, you’ll also be putting “pen to paper” and writing for many topics and channels, juggling deadlines and priorities with a dedicated team and support system around you. This is a deliverable-centric job that is not only responsible for producing content, but also having an important role in strategy.

Someone who has experience writing across multiple channels and/or in the travel/entertainment/event realm is a huge plus!! 

Role Responsibilities:

Ideation & Content Strategy

  • Drive overarching content strategy across the website, digital platforms, email, and print channels

  • Audit content for relevance and quality, assessing it against insights and marketing objectives 

  • Develop and maintain an editorial content calendar across multiple channels

  • Monitor subject matter developments and trends, suggesting new or updated content that is relevant and engaging

  • Brainstorm with the team to consistently generate new ideas for buzz-worthy content

Content Creation/Copywriting

  • Be lead copywriter across a variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, email, blog articles, social media, guides, etc.)

  • Have the creative chops and writing mastery to understand how to write both in short-form and long-form, leveraging what’s appropriate for each channel

  • Research and organize facts and sources for your pieces, speaking with primary research sources when necessary

  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to include appropriate visuals for written pieces, understanding that both the visual and the verbal make for excellent content

  • Have an understanding and appreciation of SEO strategy as it applies to content (or be eager to learn!)

Editing & Proofreading

  • Edit and proofread content across multiple formats for all relevant channels

  • Ensure all-around consistency for style, voice and tone

  • Pay very close attention to detail, showing off your skills in near perfect grammar and proficiency in editing

Content Maintenance & Management

  • Schedule and conduct ongoing content audits on the website to ensure all content is up-to-date.  

  • Revisit and evolve editorial calendar throughout the year.

  • Recommend how to evolve topics and formats to increase audience engagement and interaction with content. 

Communication & Team Collaboration

  • Communicate with team, clients, and interview sources to understand goals to devise winning pieces

  • Have fun with the team, clients and partnerships, building relationships and camaraderie for an all-around positive working environment

  • Be comfortable and skilled at presenting your ideas and work to clients and internal stakeholders, clearly explaining rationale and recommendations

  • Be a highly accountable individual, doing your part alongside project managers, designers, web team and others for the collective success



  • BA or BS in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years copywriting, journalism or blogging experience with relevant work samples

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail 

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across multiple projects and deadlines

  • Experience entering content directly into a website CMS or willingness to learn

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent writing projects to deadline without sacrificing quality

  • Proven experience working in a team environment; Interpersonal skills must be stellar
