Sr. eCommerce Merchadising Project Manager

Position Description:

Exciting opportunity to work for a high profile organization in a Project and Marketing management capacity for a site that aims to provide consumers with the best curated set of gluten free products available in one convenient location. The site currently sells ~400 products, and the team hopes to grow this number significantly within the next few months. The storefront of the site is powered by Amazon's Webstore technology.

In this role you will act as the store manager for the website and you will be a key contributor to the small core team, engaging with the group on a daily basis to work through issues and priorities and on a deeper level to understand and contribute to product, pricing, and overall site strategy. The team will look to you as an e-commerce expert who can provide guidance on how the online business should be set up and operate. You will also engage with various external partners to the organization, including their fulfillment provider, our product suppliers, and partner agencies as needed.


Manage Product Portfolio & Vendor Relationships

  • Identify and source new products
  • Develop and negotiate trade strategy with vendors (negotiation with partners for funding or valuable in-kind benefits in return for promoting their products)
  • Own product and shipping pricing strategy
  • Maintain merchandiser relationship with vendors
  • Provide guidance to inventory manager and help manage relationship with fulfillment vendor

    Manage Site Technical Optimizations to Drive Conversion & Repeat
  • Provide prioritization and guidance to the technical team on site enhancements
  • Provide prioritization of optimizations and issues management to Amazon account team

    Define Ecommerce Strategies
  • Provide key strategic guidance on the overall e-commerce business model, including fulfillment and sourcing strategies
  • Provide strategic input into affiliate network development. Act as key contact with affiliate network agency once identified.

    Support Customer Service Team
  • Act as key contact with the customer service team to ensure service issues get resolved in a timely and customer friendly manner

    Requirements / Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years previous work experience as a Marketing Merchandiser Manager or Project Manager for a successful online retailer
  • 7-10+ years experience providing strategic input to an ecommerce business
  • Team oriented work style

  • Entrepreneurially minded
  • Ability to communicate effectively
