The Web Designer is responsible for creating leading edge design and layouts for a variety of digital projects, including: e-commerce, channel partner, affiliate; online marketing for emails and banner ads; and all social media
platforms. The Web Designer brings the brand to life online.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for designing digital creative for all brand expressions online.
Acts as a thought leader and strategic designer that can execute quickly. Continually develop new ideas and explore concepts for online execution.
Works closely with Creative Director and partners with copy team to bring brand presence alive online.
Understands and adheres to the brand look and feel, brand guidelines, digital style guide, and implements designs accordingly.
Works with vendors to provide art and brand guidelines. Reviews their creative work and provides design
Crops, color corrects and resizes product images.
Ensures that all design elements, wireframes and templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browsers, email clients, and screen settings, based on business owner requirements.
B.A. or B.S. in graphic design or art field
4+ years experience in web design; experience with development is a plus.
Experience in the field of fashion or similar industry for e-commerce sites and digital marketing is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, typography, color and composition.
Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Solid presentation skills.
Flexible. Willingly takes team feedback into account when creating designs.
Ability to coordinate with internal and external groups.
Self starter who is able to troubleshoot and work independently
Expert knowledge in: Adobe Creative Suite 5 or higher: Photoshop, Illustrator
Working knowledge in InDesign
Flash and HTML experience
General knowledge of browser capabilities and web technologies.
