• Own the brand expression across all digital products and platforms
• Be the visual design thought leader within The digital ecosystem
• Develop and interpret digital creative concepts from on-air
• Partner with interaction designers to collaborate/ideate on user experience
• Develop/defend design concepts and strategies based on user needs, research, and metrics
• Push for innovative thinking/problem solving and experimentation
• Keep up with the latest industry trends and tools
• Work closely with development ensuring creative quality extends through to final build and implementation
• Lead and mentor design team members -driving continuous improvement and inspiring others
• Research & Prototyping

• Partner with on-air teams to help define and extend creative within the digital space
• Champion the brand - understanding the aesthetic and tone

(Drive the visual expression)
• Using the principles of branding and knowledge of the Brand attributes, be the thought leader on how this translates into the digital space
• Develop innovative and on-strategy designs which are highly resolved from a formal perspective, and meet the objectives of the assignment.
• Conceptually and aesthetically execute at the highest level being on strategy for the specific users of a given product
• Explain and defend rationale for creative choices based on research/insights/metrics
• Stay on top of industry trends and tools
• Solve problems conceptually in collaboration with the broader team, including content, programming, product, developers and interaction designers
• Communicate creative solutions effectively with team members engendering trust and respect

(Create and maintain the visual system)
• Implements efficient workflows, processes & develops design specs for production
• Create a living systems (patterns) for visual design and animation which result in a consistent visual experience across all touch points- but fluid enough to be unique for each platform

(Lead the design strategy)
• Translate insights into actionable solutions that maps to be part of the larger ecosystem
• Own the prioritization of the backlog as it relates to visual design
