Our Fortune 500 retail client is seeking a talented Sr. UX Designer! This is a 6 month contract opportunity with potential for extension up to 2 years. This will be a Senior UX Designer role for the Product Design Team within Dotcom (Specifically – Commerce Product Team)

The Product Design Team is comprised of UX designers and copywriters. Members work across individual product teams and are responsible for translating user needs and business needs into functional and meaningful communication experiences.

As a Senior Designer for the Commerce Product Team you will be responsible for contributing to leading, maintaining, updating, and evolving of the cart and checkout experiences. You will also be creating and optimizing graphical assets for web site display across desktop, tablet, and mobile. You will collaboratively participate in the planning and development of new functionality and enhancing existing functionality. You will become well versed in the brand standards and applicable style guides to translate these guidelines for the cart and checkout experience. As needed you will provide direction to other designers in partnership with the Associate Creative Director on the Commerce Product Team as the team works through solving complex challenges. To support the product team you will be required to present creative concepts, take direction, provide direction, and manage concurrent work streams.

• Contributing to the leadership efforts of the product team
• Provide creative direction and feedback to lead assigned work-streams in partnership with the lead Associate Creative Director
• Creating and optimizing graphical assets for updating and maintaining design, functionality and layout of website as needed working within defined templates
• Participating in the planning and development of new content
• Employing design standards set by company style guides
• Remain current with web trends, usability and standards along with the tools and techniques for online experience development
• Interact with Business partners
• Lead designer on workstream (there are 5 workstreams, each with a lead designer)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, MultiMedia, Information Architecture, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Human Computer Interaction, Instructional or Graphic Design, related field or equivalent experience. or equivalent work experience.
• Design experience/project experience within a multi-channel retailer
• 2 year or more of experience in eCommerce development and optimization related specifically to pre-purchase digital experiences
