Instead we seek people who truly partner with design and development to guide the product development through research. We are looking for problem-solvers, connectors, and explorers who constantly pursue better, smarter, and faster ways to bring delight and value to our customers. As a Lead UX Researcher, you will work on the overall product experience and feature initiatives from concept to launch for our streaming and interactive experiences. In this role, you will identify research needs to support the design and development lifecycle; including, but not limited to, human factors lit review, competitive product research, mixed-methods UX research- task analysis, usability, analytics- and other research insights that benefit the process. Depending on the scope, you may work as an individual or lead a small team to plan, coordinate, and conduct research activities. Study responsibilities include all tasks from coordination, to recruiting, study facilitation, data capture, data analysis, reporting, and dissemination of findings. The role continues as you support the team to discuss and address findings in product planning and design. The ideal candidate will take into account business objectives, user needs, human factors engineering, and industry best practices to inform decisions and will deftly balance tactical implementation with big-picture strategic thinking.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with: - Coordinating and executing mixed-methods user research from product conception to launch - Planning research within an Agile framework - Involving the team and stakeholders in the research process - Discussing and recommending research methodologies and procedures - Executing all aspects of research study planning, coordination, and execution - Turning data into actionable insights - Working with research vendors for support services
QUALIFICATIONS - A minimum of 10 years of work experience as a UX Researcher in a product development or consulting environment - Master's degree in engineering human factors, HCI, behavioral science, or a closely-related field - Project management of user research studies including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contracting vendors - Execution of numerous user research studies from generative field research to lab-based usability tests - Expert in study design, methodology, data analysis, and reporting - Expert in study moderation/facilitation for IDI's to groups - Command of a broad set of qualitative and quantitative measures - Technical competency with existing and emerging interaction paradigms including NUI, GUI, and the Internet of Things - An online portfolio or work samples with study plans, reports, and outcomes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Relevant work experience in consumer streaming media - Subject matter expertise with Connected TV, phone
