Sr. UX Designer

Our client is seeking a talented and passionate senior user experience designer to join their growing team. You will own end-to-end experiences that millions worldwide will use: from large multi-national sellers, to mom-and-pop shops, and even a growing number of consumers who list their products for sale on their site.

Our client's designers have a broader scope than what’s typical elsewhere. You will lead the product user experience design end-to-end, not only producing design deliverables, but partnering with top-notch business and product development teams throughout multiple product lifecycles to deliver superior and innovative user experiences.

Key responsibilities for the Senior UX Designer:
- Define design strategy and drive the execution of that strategy to create the best website and mobile seller experiences
- Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, in-depth site analytics, and user research findings, while achieving buy-in from business, engineering and executive teams.
- Lead the product UX design process by creating key design deliverables appropriate for each product. These may include: developing scenarios, use cases, high-level requirements, workflows, conceptual diagrams, information architecture, visual interface design, interaction flow, wireframes, low-fidelity and hi-fidelity mockups, click-through prototypes, as needed for each product.

Basic Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, creative director or similar role.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating a range of artifacts developed in creating a variety of great user-centered design solutions is a requirement for application.
- Fluency in best practices for web-based and mobile information architecture and responsive design, as well as deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
-Ability to drive the design review cycle, close on design requirements and achieve consensus.
- Bachelor's degree in digital design, industrial design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Omnigraffle, and Dreamweaver.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly websites, mobile apps and consumer-facing features.
- Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals.
- Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or Flash.
- Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated success in building buy-in for an innovative, bold, strategic vision.
- Experience with agile/scrum/kanban.
- Web-based or mobile application user experience in a global context.
- Experience in web analytics, clicks-tream and other data analysis techniques of web application usage.
