We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer with an e-commerce background to design new, highly personalized ways for millions of people to shop for fashion online. This will be a 1-3 month to hire full time in Seattle, WA at our client's Headquarters. Qualified UX Designers will seek to craft engaging, elegantly usable experiences and interactions for e-commerce. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, highly-skilled design leader who is constantly driven to simplify and elevate the customer experience. This role requires superior user experience and information architecture skills; along with excellent visual design, problem-solving, relationship and communication skills. Your experience demonstrates the ability to balance your passion for inspired, compelling, elegant designs with real-world business needs, and a drive to build and deliver.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · At least 5-10 years delivering experience design solutions as a UX designer, interaction designer or information architect · An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices · Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization · Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience · Proficiency designing and prototyping with a variety of tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, Axure, Keynote, After Effects · Fluent in English, with impressive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Experience designing customer facing retail web · Experience working in a collaborative team, publicly white-boarding, and working directly with developers for implementation of designs · Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment · Unflappable good humor, courtesy and ability to build rapport with stakeholders, designers, developers and leaders · Capacity to own and drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks · Talent for crafting imaginative and innovative design solutions while maintaining user expectations through pattern consistency and interaction harmony · Ability to demonstrate designs with functional prototypes in HTML/CSS or Axure and create conceptual video sequences in After Effects · Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technology and best practices · Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and design—understand accepted UX process standards well enough to be entitled to selectively abandon them · Demonstrated strong visual design expertise with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant and exceedingly usable layouts and interactions and iconography
