Sr. UX Designer

Just in time for the holidays! Our progressive Fortune 500 client (yes, they do excist), is in need of a long term contract (possible contract2hire) Sr. User Experience Designer to create an exciting onlinne experiece.

The Senior User Experience Designer will work closely with an existing team of high performing UX Designers, Strategists, and UI Designers to create the user experience for the core journeys of an nvestment Management website. This candidate will also partner closely with product owners, user testing, and engineers to enhance usability as well as the look and feel of these core journeys. As a Senior UX Designer you will set the vision and drive concepts to create innovative interactive experiences for the full spectrum of devices and use cases for the 2017 goals include improved creative content, experience flow, improved automation tools, more.

Responsibilities:
• Expected to guide and inspire a creative team, lead by example and have strong communication skills to support global business partners on a day-to-day basis.
• Manage multiple creative projects as a designer and a creative leader.
• Work closely with fellow designers and developers to build out prototypes and provide support for usability tests.
• Be a passionate advocate for the user, ground ideas in industry best practices, usability research and incorporate customer insights and principles throughout the creative process.
• Act as a creative expert on projects outsourced to other agencies and help uphold design best practices, guidelines, brand consistency, and quality.
• It’s critical that you have a master-level understanding of digital graphic design, typography, and interface design.

Qualifications:
• Portfolio required
• 5-7 years digital agency or client side experience as a design leader.
• Expert in designing user centered design experiences for multiple devices and platforms (web, mobile, iPad, etc.), understanding responsive layouts and how to optimize design for flexible layout treatments.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate/influence at all levels without having direct authority.
• Familiarity in the prototyping capabilities of HTML, DHTML, and CSS; significant experience working with tech developers.
• Vision, passion and POV about the evolution of interactive design.
• A passion for all things digital, a desire to develop oneself; a hunger to innovate and stay current in trends and techniques.
• Bachelors or Masters in Design, Graphic Arts or equivalent.
