Sr. UX Designer

At this major marketing agency, the Senior UX Designer wears a lot of hats. UX expert. Closet designer. Curious visionary. Passionate collaborator. Decisive leader. And whatever else it takes to make big ideas work. We are looking for an experienced UX/UI designer to work on a large site redesign in the financial industry. You will work closely with our Creative team in our Dallas office over the next few months delivering an exciting responsive site redesign. This role starts immediately and will go through the end of the year; it's full-time and onsite.

Understands the impact of search in a customer decision journey.
Loves being the generalist in the room, and can talk shop (and geek out) with strategists, technologists, designers, search managers, content developers, business analysts, account directors and project managers.
Ensures quality and consistency of UX deliverables including developing site blueprints, process flows, wireframes, functional specifications; preparing and conducting user validation and/or usability testing sessions and other forms of qualitative and quantitative customer research; and developing user profiles, personas and scenarios
Has a sense of humor. Gets along well with people who don’t.

As Sr. UX Designer, you will:

Understand client’s positioning, business objectives, user preferences, requirements, timelines, budgets, and still innovate.
Embrace an agile, collaborative process.
Lead a creative team in the delivery of outstanding multi-channel solutions.
Makes work—beyond leading it.
Ensure quality and consistency of information architecture deliverables including developing site maps, process flows, wireframes/schematics, functional specifications and business requirements definition; preparing and conducting user validation and/or usability testing sessions and other forms of qualitative and quantitative customer research; and developing user profiles, personas and scenarios

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a senior level UX position(s) with respected interactive agencies.
7+ years experience designing and developing consumer sites
Led the user experience documentation on several major enterprise-level web site development efforts.
Experience in the financial and investment services vertical a plus
Experience in planning, conducting and performing user experience study activities such as one-on-one interviews, paper-prototyping, concept testing, card sorting, surveys, usability testing, etc. as well as evaluating and compiling the results
Proven results/samples in information design, interface design, flowcharting, storyboarding, human factors or human computer interaction, and usability.
Extensive knowledge of internet technology and interactive capabilities.
Strong computer skills and firm grasp of either Omnigraffle, Axure, Balsamiq or other prototyping tools, working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office product suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
