Sr. UX Designer | Pasadena/Pleasanton

Our client is looking for a Sr. UX Designer who will be responsible for information architecture, wireframe design, applying patterns to new features and involvement in user research efforts. This ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Develop effective interactive design solutions that meet business, project, and design goals, based on standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with colleagues in other functional groups (e.g., Creative, Technology, Product Management, Marketing and Production) to deliver on website and feature development and ongoing enhancements.
• Create IA and user experience documentation and contribute to the development of processes and best practices.

Minimum number of years of experience required: 5

Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities:
1. UX Deliverables - included annotated wireframes, flows, visual comps, prototypes, etc.
2. Attend cross-functional meetings as a representative of UX, and bring the user perspective to projects and experiences.
3. Collaborate within the UX team to ensure close communication and standard use of UX patterns and principles throughout projects.

Top 3 - 5 Required Skills:
1. Proficiency with UX design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Axure, Invision, Sketch.
2. Solid background in information architecture, visual design, interaction design, UX
3. Ability to apply internal UX standards as well as UX theories/principles/thinking to optimal design of web and mobile products

Desired skills:
1. Mobile and Web UX experience
2. Responsive design experience

Soft Skills:
1. Ability to work constructively in a cross-functional environment, and work closely and collaboratively with Product, Development, outside agencies, etc.
2. Communication and presentation skills, ability to vocalize UX recommendations with strong reasoning, and conviction
3. Listening skills - ability to listen to all perspectives and concerns cross-functionally, and work on UX recommendations while keeping those in mind.
4. Ability to multitask

Size of the team:
• This position will be part of a team of about 10-15

Stage of the project:
• Earlier stages, ready to start producing design deliverables

Educational Requirement:
• High School Diploma/GED Required;
• Degree in Psychology, Design, Human Factors Engineering, or a related field or comparable experience if no degree.
