Sr. UI/UX Designer

Job Description:
The Senior User Interface (UI) Designer is an expert in both web and mobile UI, who can lead great design for both company products, as well as end-to-end service design. This designer takes ownership for ensuring that fellow cross-functional team members consistently deliver on both user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recognizes design as competitive advantage and Introduces design thinking methods to help solve complex product and process issues
• Mentors team on how to leverage technologies and processes. Shares new technologies and examples of how they can be leveraged
• Has expert-level mastery of design tools and implementation tools
• Drives PM and BU to think beyond their area about the end-to-end experience
• Leads discussion on strategies and facilitates concept generation with long-term view. Incorporates contributions from cross-functional partners
• Exhibits strong awareness and mastery of design processes. Responsible for driving industry standards into the process
• Acts as an effective advocate of the company’s user experience. Can oversee many areas of the experience
• Coaches others to articulate design rationale and content strategy as a means to balance business goals and user experience goals
• Teaches advanced techniques and processes to help others to grow
• Promotes best practices at all times to help increase shared knowledge
• Demonstrates use of metrics, requirements, constraints, and creativity to provide optimal solutions

Job Requirements:
• Five to six years of experience in User Experience Design or User Interface Design
• Proven, customer-centric, creative leadership and ability to inspire UI designers to deliver excellence in design thinking and Customer Driven Innovation
• Current knowledge of UI Design strategies and trends across web and mobile platforms
• Knowledge of Web 2.0 and mobile technologies, CSS3, HTML5, and responsive web design
• Proven ability to work with User Interface Engineering to execute best design solutions within web technology constraints
• Strong verbal and written ability to communicate the value of UI design to product, business, and technology leaders.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Factors Engineering, HCI, Computer Science, Product Design, or Visual Design (or equivalent experience)
