Sr. UI/Art Director for well-known company

Our well known travel client is seeking a talented Art Director to design and their sister brand websites. We are looking for an exceptionally talented UI and Art Director with extensive interactive experience working with large consumer websites and associated online marketing campaigns for mobile and desktop.  You'll be working closely with marketing, product managers and copywriters, and you will be designing our next generation of website features and functionality and creating high-performance marketing campaigns for member acquisition and engagement. You will be responsible for creating intuitive interfaces as well as managing and inspiring junior designers.

As part of our team, your interface and marketing design work will play a vital role, acquiring and enabling millions of travelers around the world an easier and more engaging way to plan, take and share their trips. 

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product management, visual designers, copywriters, and engineers – advocating for the best design for our customers
Interpret customer needs into effective and thoughtful design solutions

Create user-centered designs by considering site analytics, customer feedback, and usability findings

Design solutions that meet measurable business objectives
Bring inspiring ideas and motivation into an energetic and collaborative team

Stay on top of emerging trends in technology and design for forms of online media including desktop and mobile
 
Qualifications:
experience in comparable web design roles on large, content-rich consumer websites, emails and banner ads- Looking for LARGE well known brands in a portfolio.

Rock solid skills in graphic design, with an eye for typography, palette development, intuitive layout, and a pixel-level attention to detail. You must have a deep appreciation for clean, simple, usable interfaces.

Ability to juggle multiple projects, good time management skills and a great attitude.

Thorough understanding of overall web site design, including basic usability, industry standards, and light familiarity with html/css.  We are not looking for print designers!!!

Excellent communication skills
Interaction design skills: Experience creating wireframes a plus.
  Proficient in latest design tools (Creative Suite)
