Sr. Traffic Manager

Our client, an In-house Design Agency, is looking to add a Traffic Manger to the team on a contractual basis. This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate.
In this role you will help to establish/build the traffic function for the studio. You will be called upon to access the needs of the studio and identify the right infrastructure solutions including time and project management software. On a daily basis, you will work with the Studio team and manage the weekly resource schedule.

Based on resource requests (including roles, skills, tasks and hours) you will make resource assignments, determine over-allocations, make mid-project adjustments and identify freelancer needs. In addition, you will participate in out-sourcing creative projects to qualified agencies as needed. You may be called upon to support the RFP process as needed.
You will be responsible for being able to report on the current status of the overall workflow through the studio at any given time, being able to surface when the studio is near or at capacity. You will be overseeing all projects in progress with specific focus on timelines and budgets.

Opportunity Description:
Identify and implement best-in-class industry standard systems to improve and maintain in-house
design agency efficiencies and reduce problems with work flow. 
Provide daily traffic management of assigned projects and accounts from concept development to
product completion. 
Act as liaison with all cross-functional departments such as: Centers, Development, Leasing, Airports,
Events, Finance, HR and upper management. 
Provide reporting capabilities to offer transparency into volume and velocity of workflow.

Requirements:
·  You must possess a complete understanding of agency traffic procedures.
·  The project management and creative groups should be able to rely on you to manage the flow of work.
·  Your basic skills include the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw reasonable conclusions that provide answers.
·  You are comfortable working in an environment of constant change.
·  Self motivated – with an entrepreneurial approach.
·  You must be a team player willing to work the extra hours needed to get projects done on time.
·  Multitasking goes without saying.
·  Any insight you can provide on how to increase efficiency is of great interest.
·  Also, you should feel comfortable proposing solutions if projects get off track.  
·  On occasion you will be asked to assist tracking costs and putting projects out for bid.
·  You have diplomatic communication skills, both written and oral.
·  In general you have superior problem solving skills.


Qualifications:
·  A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required.
·  3-5 years traffic experience, in agency setting (preferred).
·  Strong computer skills, with Microsoft Word & Excel applications.
·  Experience with a computerized traffic/accounting or timekeeping system is desired, as we will be looking to you to help the studio establish the traffic function in-house.
·  Candidates with design experience or skills are desired.
