Sr. Technical Program Manager

Our client, an agency in Atlanta, is seeking a Sr. Technical Program manager with experiencing with agencies to work on a large CMS (native app) project.  This person will be in charge of project managing all deliverables, scheduling, and be client facing. E Commerce, APP and CMS exp a MUST. 8+ years exp. preferred. 

Communication, creative thinking, organization, risk management, as well as project, timeline, and budget planning are key fundamentals of this position. They must have strong experience in both creative and technology and have a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and on budget. They thrive in a highly strategic, creative, collaborative, and interdepartmental environment alongside multi-disciplinary peers with the ability to leverage multiple perspectives as pillars for innovation. They provide leadership that encourages enthusiasm, innovation, and camaraderie.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand client business, client goals, deliverables and strategies

  • Understand agency process and how to best match it with client requests; work with Account Management to proactively guide client through agency process

  • Provide points-of-view from a business and marketing stance to creative team

  • Own project after creative brief through production

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and department leads to define project objectives, gather requirements, define deliverables, determine dependencies, and plan resources

  • Lead all relevant resources in the creation of budgets and timelines; collaborate with account management in the creation of proposals, statements of work, and change requests

  • Present to the client on schedules, project status, and deliverables

  • Schedule and drive internal meetings, ensuring they meet the stated objectives and stay on agenda

  • Produce backend correspondence such as meeting reports (if account management not present)

  • Track project communication; create and update status list

  • Work with account management to mediate client changes with others on team

  • Articulate project risks, complex digital solutions and/or processes in a simple and engaging way (both internally and client-side)

  • Ensure deliverables meet strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets, while pushing and allowing for the best possible idea and solution

  • Ensure the quality of deliverables and the quality of the project experience internally and externally

  • Manage resources, timelines and milestones, and requirements against SOW (scope, time and cost management)

  • Proactively conduct risk assessment analysis and ongoing contingency planning

  • Relentlessly ensure that the right information is delivered to the right audience about projects, clearly articulating scope, timelines, owners, risks, mitigation and successes

  • Manage production process as creative and agency advocate; guide internal and external team members through process

  • Exhibit strong listening skills and the ability to tactfully convey varying positions on relevant issues to reach team consensus

  • Work in an independent fashion, solve problems, make decisions, and communicate effectively in difficult situations

  • Assess internal team members availability for projects; work with other functional managers for assignments

  • Take into consideration the entire group and needs of the organization when delegating tasks; identify gaps in progress of individuals towards accomplishing delegated tasks and provide feedback in a positive manner; make adjustments to tasks as needed by breaking them down into smaller tasks, re-considering the task or assigning additional resources to complete the task

  • Provide creative or technical guidance; keep current with the latest trends in the interactive space

  • Solve organizational or technical problems with urgency by helping teams reach consensus by asking the right questions, as well as offering solutions

  • Interview and assess talent both internally and externally, and provide recommendations to functional managers

  • Proactively identify opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies
