Sr Specialist Merchandising

The Merchandising Senior Specialist supports the Merchandise Manager with all activities related to account management and revenue growth to meet current sales goals, build brand awareness, and drive merchandise strategies for a major retail account. This position will be required to build strong internal and external relationships with merchandising, planning, marketing, e-commerce, operations, Social Media and PR teams.

Key Accountability
Visual/Online Merchandising
 Maintain updated assortments based on current visual merchandising direction and communicate assortment changes to both internal and external partners
 Responsible for merchandise set up for new product on retailer website, including sending comps for product shots, copy, and general SKU information
 Work with internal partners including Visual Merchandising, Copy, Creative, and Marketing

Marketing & Advertising
 Maintain channel marketing and promotion calendar with updates of internal and external marketing, advertising, sampling and in-store activity while keeping a detailed account of historical data.
 Partner closely with relevant field teams to communicate marketing and promotional plans, execute all initiatives in line with sales goals and collect feedback
 Drive the channel sampling strategy by maintaining sampling calendar and ensuring sample orders are written in a timely manner and delivered on-time to allow for seamless execution both in-store and online
 Deliver product comps, samples, and marketing collateral to appropriate internal and external partners to meet marketing and advertising deadlines Social Media, PR & Events
 Monitor all retailer social media platforms and maintain a historical record of activity for relevant company products
 Serve as a liaison to the field and coordinate field social media activity that aligns with overall corporate direction
 Manage field event tracker to capture upcoming in-store events, record performance post-event and ensure the field team events are supported with appropriate assets, tools and products
Overall Team Operations & Support
 Handle meeting preparation including creating and organizing documents, room set-up, catering, and product comps
 Assist with operational tasks as required including submitting IC request, sales reports and analysis, and purchase order tracking
 Submit monthly NIF forms with detailed account of all new products
 Organization of all contracts, including tracking, printing, acquiring needed signature and submitting to relevant parties
 Management of product closet
 Management and execution of all field pack outs
 Organization and management of field communication

Key Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree preferred
 Excellent Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and project management skills required
 Minimum 4+ years/merchandising/buying experience in cosmetics or retail industry preferred
 Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
 Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail. Must have the ability to accurately interpret detailed data and to make key decisions for the business, identifying implications for the long-term health of the business
 Strong presentation and communication skills required(written and oral) for one-on-one, small group, as well as large group situations
 Dynamic, innovative personality with determination to perform at high standards Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation) without posing a "direct threat" to the health and safety to self or others.
