Sr. Sales Data Analyst - Min 1 Yr. Hyperion/BRIO and/or Tableau

Our Fortune 1000 client is looking for a talented and experienced Analytics Expert who can contribute to the success of our ambitious analytics initiatives. This person will play a key role in providing many business-critical organizations within our clients' data, information and analysis to assist with data-driven business decisions, and provide them and their stakeholders with insights. They will provide operational reporting, forecasting, and recommendations to guide the direction and success of sales efforts that increase revenue. Experience in data analytics, deep technical skills, exceptional written and verbal skills, and demonstrated organizational effectiveness skills are key requirements in fulfilling the duties of this position.

This position has high visibility and is part of a fast-paced, high-intensity working environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work productively with business owners in several departments, including Sales, Planning, and external technology partners to develop and provide scheduled and ad-hoc statistical reports regarding sales, business, and marketing efforts.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize Marketing Information Data Tapes (MIDT) across three global distribution systems to identify revenue opportunities for Alaska Air Group. Provide statistical, analytical, and database support for the broader Marketing and Planning Organization.
• Assist Regional Sales Directors, Regional Sales Managers, and Executive Account Managers in the investigation of corporate ticket level information.
• Generate and maintain regular reports, scorecards and dashboards gathering various data points (including performance on corporate agreements, Sales Incentive Commission Program data, incentive agency sales plans, performance reviews, marketing agreements and contract administration) from internal databases and other reports. Create and design new reports, dashboards, and measurement methods as needed.
• Help with data integrity validation and work with IT and Planning Analysts to determine data requirements and usage requirements and ensure that data elements are accurate and current.
• Streamline management reports and processes to produce documents that identify actionable differences across sales regions, and evaluate the effectiveness of regional sales programs. This individual will work to make sure our tools and data reporting meet internal customers’ needs while satisfying scalability, reliability and other performance requirements.
• Create, manage and maintain documentation and repositories for analytical information, training documentation, implementation documents and critical internal process documents.
• Effectively communicate new concepts and business processes to all levels of the business.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, math, technical field or related discipline preferred.
• Demonstrated strong analytic, quantitative, and data interpretation using large datasets required (minimum 3 years) .
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence function, including but not limited to analytics, data mining, reporting, data modeling, and relational databases strongly preferred.
• Proven experience working with BI Tools, minimum of 1 year required (Hyperion/BRIO and/or Tableau).
• Experience with MS/Oracle SQL strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of common airline industry definitions such as: booked, ticketed, leg, coupon, segment, trip, path, quality service index (QSI), and market share required.
• Knowledgeable of local market code share, airline partnerships, and airline alliances preferred.
• Advanced skills with MS Office products including Excel and Powerpoint required.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
• Background or training in Statistics preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently, be self-motivated with a high degree of intellectual curiosity required.
• Proven ability to recognize patterns in large datasets required.
• Proven ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships across various workgroups (business, operational, technical) required.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment required.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
