Sr. Project Manager

The Sr project manager will be supporting the Global Category Brand Management Innovation team (marketing) on several large, complex, and trans-formative product/beverage innovation projects. The Sr project manager will be working with and integrating various cross-functional teamwork streams into a master timeline(s) identifying critical paths, dependencies, and risks. The Sr project manager will act as a champion for resolution and influence down, up and sideways. The work is fast paced and the team is passionate about bringing boundary-pushing innovation to our stores quickly.

The Sr project manager role will include, but is not limited to:
• Creating comprehensive project plans
• Detailing project schedules, resource estimates and quality requirements and metrics
• Ensuring completion of all steps required to obtain project funding and approval
• Defining and documenting project work breakdowns, monitoring task status, updating work estimates and incorporating new tasks into the plan as needed
• Determining project governance and decision making structure
• Establishing project roles and responsibilities and provides team members with clear direction

7-10 years’ experience in Project based roles

There is a project management experience and skill gap in the current team that is needed for a group of highly complex projects that have cross-project dependencies. This worker will help provide overall visibility to project details that impact speed to market. This worker will support project owners and leadership.

Typical Work Day
The sr project manager daily activities will change over the period of the project. The daily tasks may include, but not limited to: working with the cross functional teams to develop integrated timelines, work breakdown structures, identifying key decision dates/milestones/constraints for 3+ large complex project.

This role also includes communicating with and supporting project owners and leadership. The sr project manager will need to be able to go into deep detail and pull out key information to influence across the organization at various levels. Activities will shift to helping team leads move project forward in meetings, keeping cross functional support on task, scenario planning, risk assessment, etc... This may include leading or supporting meetings. Additional tasks will include weekly project status updates and supporting ad-hoc requests for status updates.
