Sr. Project Manager

The Sr Project Manager will be supporting the Global Category Brand management team (marketing) on several large, complex, and trans-formative product/beverage innovation projects. The horizon of this scope includes product ideation, product development, testing, and eventual launch in our retail stores. The Sr Project Manager will be working with and integrating various cross functional team work streams into a master timeline(s) identifying critical paths, dependencies, and risks. The work is very fast paced and the team passionate- we make it fun.

The Sr Project Manager role includes, but not limited to, the following:

• Creates comprehensive project plans; detailing project schedule, resource estimates, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities.
• Ensures completion of all steps required to obtain project funding and resource acquisition approval.
• Defines and documents project work breakdowns, monitors task status, updates work estimates and incorporates new tasks into plan as needed.
• Determines project governance and decision making structure.
• Establishes project roles and responsibilities and provides team members with clear direction. Project based roles: 7-10 years.

What need will this worker fill?

There is a project management experience and skill gap in the current team that is needed for a group of highly complex projects that have cross-project dependencies. This worker will help provide overall visibility to project details that impact speed to market. This worker will support project owners and leadership.

What does a typical work day entail? What are the daily tasks/responsibilities/deliverables?

The Sr Project Manager daily activities will change over the period of the project. The daily tasks may include, but not limited to: working with the cross functional teams to develop integrated timelines, work breakdown structures, identifying key decision dates/milestones/constraints for 3+ large complex project. This also includes communicating and support project owners and leadership. Activities will shift to helping team leads move project forward in meetings, keeping cross functional support on task, scenario planning, risk assessment, etc... This may include leading or supporting meetings. Additional tasks will include weekly project status updates and supporting ad-hoc requests for status updates.

Technical project management (e.g. timelines, Gantt charts, decision matrices, etc.…), work stream breakdown, work scheduling, reporting, risk planning,, project recovery, identifying cross project dependencies, communication (verbal & written), strong interpersonal skills, team co-ordination, meeting management. Ability to work in highly matrixed and very fast paced environment. Ability to manage ambiguity.
