Sr Program Mgr (Sales & Operations Planning)

We have an immediate need for a Sr Program Manager to help navigate our client's organization in all things Sales & Operations Planning! Bring your planning, forecasting, and inventory management to the table by joining the leading global coffee retailer HQ'd in Seattle. This is a contract role for six months with a strong possibility to convert to FTE or contract extension.

This job contributes to our client's success by coordinating and facilitating the monthly Sales and Operations Planning Process for a Value Chain, and driving continuous improvement to reach a higher level of S&OP maturity.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Preparation and coordination of S&OP meetings including supporting materials
• Management of action plans, issue resolution and tracking against targets
• Driving accountability and process improvement
• Continuously improving the content of the S&OP meetings to drive better decision-making cross-functionally
• Supporting forecast accuracy improvement through development of the demand review as one of the key steps in gathering and aligning on market intelligence
• Supporting inventory strategies toward inventory optimization through effective S&OP and S&OE processes
• Supporting trade-off decisions encompassing the end-to-end supply chain by integrating store-level information into S&OP
• Communicating opportunities and risks to management on a proactive basis
• Educating cross-functional partners at all levels on the benefits of a robust S&OP process
• Supporting the planning team with analysis and continuous improvement projects
• Being a champion for change where needed to raise the maturity level of the S&OP process
• Challenging and inspiring partners to achieve business results

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Progressive experience in planning, forecasting, and inventory management (5 years)
• S&OP experience (2 years)
• Leading without authority (2 years)
• Retail supply chain experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders across the organization, including listening to multiple viewpoints and their relevance to the success of outcomes for the Company
• Experience in being a champion for change
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated continuous learning
• Proven business acumen
• Ability to be detail-oriented
• Demonstrated capability for process improvement
• Demonstrated developing and coaching skills
