Sr Product Manager, Research Tools (full time)

  • Combine the voice and needs of the customer, Data & Research team, and the overall company strategy to create both high-level roadmaps and detailed plans to drive major improvements in our research processes.
  • Own, prioritize, drive, and provide transparency for the Data & Research roadmap and projects, ensuring tight coordination with projects and priorities on the Core Platform product roadmap.
  • Play a pivotal role and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and ensure projects and technologies align with the data product strategy, deliver strong business value, and have clear business requirements.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed functional specs by Research Managers for enhancements to the research tool suite and data workflow tools. Author detailed functional specs, as necessary.
  • Manage the end-to-end feature design process for the Data & Research team, ensuring shipped features are of the highest quality through a strong user acceptance testing process.
  • Oversee the adoption of new internal features and tools across the Data & Research team to drive process consistency.
  • Prioritize, track, coordinate and communicate Data & Research projects, issues and tasks with internal stakeholders including the Data & Research team, Product team, and the Leadership team.
  • Collaboratively work with the Data & Research team and the Product team to improve and scale onshore and offshore team processes, productivity, and reporting.
  • Establish and formalize documentation best practices
  • Aggressively seek out opportunities to improve the research platform
  • Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience
  • Experience creating technical strategies and high-level system/architecture design
  • Experience establishing customer-centric requirements and writing a functional design specification document to satisfy the requirements
  • Solid understanding of user-friendly SaaS products, websites and/or mobile apps that effectively solve customer problems
  • Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated success in building buy-in for an innovative, bold, strategic vision
  • Self-directed: sets and meets deadlines, multi-tasks, and prioritizes
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Have strong analytical skills and are able to glean what they need from both qualitative and quantitative data to drive appropriate product decisions
  • Understand technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java and SQL
  • Ability to run complex SQL queries for analysis, gain insight, and drive actions.
  • Experience working with UX/UI teams to understand user experience.
  • Experience working with JIRA or similar SDE project management tools.
  • Experience working with scripting languages.
