Sr. Product Manager

Top-Tier CPG company specializing in nutritious products is looking for a contract Sr. Product Manager (SPM) for 6-8 months.

The SPM is the business owner. Within the Beverages category, will generate a vision for the brand and an action plan to drive growth, with bold innovation, flawless execution and excellent day to day brand management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop innovation opportunity assessment by leading benefit and marketplace gap analysis, competitive innovation assessment, global new technologies evaluation, operational platform capabilities, new ingredient, claim and clinical reviews, new packaging technology appraisal and intellectual property examination.

• Lead the development of the one-year marketing strategy and assist in the development of the long-term marketing strategy

• Contribute to the development of communication strategy - creative/copy strategy, media plans

• Own, execute and generate learnings on consumer promotions (Direct mail, Catalina, Public Relations, Website, Email, FSI, and Sampling).

• Actively work with Customer Development/Sales to develop Customer or Channel Specific Marketing Strategies. Assess consequences of retail developments on Marketing.

• Apply financial and operational knowledge to assess impact of brand activities on business. Initiate programs to drive profitability.

• Develop, Track and Report brand Volumetric and Ship to Consumption Model. Playing an active role in monthly demand planning cycle.

• Work with R&D and Operations to develop pipeline initiatives for new innovation, line extension and product improvements

• Partner with Integrated Marketing team to drive loyalty/continuity of brand insights .

• Analyze key business drivers providing forward looking strategic insights and action plans. Lead development of improved models/metrics to understand business performance.

• Provide organizational leadership working closely with the North America-based cross functional, Marketing, Sales and Leadership teams.

EXPERIENCE:

• 10 + years marketing experience in large company CPG company, Pharmaceutical (Pharma) environment preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in the Food Nutrition business and/or science-based innovation.
• Strong track record of successful base business management
• Proven success in new product and white space development / launches.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree; MBA Degree preferred

• Multitasking prowess to handle multiple business priorities simultaneously and prioritize and complete work within stringent deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate and engage cross-functional project teams
• Excellent execution skills and a process orientation

Contract Duration: 6-8 months, 40 hrs/wk
